The department would like to congratulate Dr. Francis Beckwith on receiving the 2016 Award for Excellence in the Study of Religion in the category of Constructive-Reflective Studies.

The American Academy of Religion recognizes Beckwith with this award for his book titled “Taking Rites Seriously: Law, Politics and the Reasonableness of Faith.”

The award will be presented at the AAR’s 2016 Annual Meeting in November. For more information, click here.
